Ease the burden of those in need

People come to Jewish Family Service in need—often in dire need. Many of the seniors who receive JFS's supportive mental health services are low income, mentally ill, physically or developmentally disabled or poorly educated. Many also lack community support such as friends or family.

JFS provides hundreds of people, of all religions and ethnicities, with much-needed assistance. From counseling to help navigating everyday life, to advocating and educating, JFS makes a critical impact on clients' lives.

But very little money comes from those clients themselves. No one is turned away from JFS due to income. The rest of the money needed to serve older adults in the Akron area comes from people like you.

We ask you to help us continue to help people live with dignity, security and hope by donating to the Annual Friends’ Drive.  Your tax deductible contribution will directly improve the lives of older adults in the Akron area. Or make a secure donation on-line at www.jewishakron.org/JFS. Or call JFS at 330-837-3388 Monday –Thursday from 9-5.
