COVID-19 Emergency Fund Frequently Asked Questions

As the COVID-19 shelter-in-place requirements lengthen, unemployment increases exponentially, and more neighbors and friends become infected with the virus, it is clear that now is the time to take action. Though we cannot know with certainty the course of this pandemic, it is abundantly clear that the needs will evolve and grow in the coming weeks and months. That’s why JCBA is working closely with Jewish Family Service of Akron to streamline emergency resources and to launch the COVID-19 Emergency Fund.

Our emergency response is multifaceted. With your support, we aim to meet the most urgent needs of vulnerable people in our communities, while also fostering the resilience and security of the Jewish ecosystem that serves them. JCBA’s COVID-19 Emergency Fund was established to enable our donors and community to help meet the needs of community members facing financial hardships as a result of this pandemic. 100% of contributions to this fund will directly support individuals and families impacted by the pandemic, and/or programs providing services to the most vulnerable and at risk in our community.
