JFS to present seminar on hoarding on April 13

Have you ever watched the TV show “Hoarders” and wanted to meet “extreme cleaner” Matt Paxton?  Do you want to learn more about hoarding and how you can help?  Now you can!  On April 13,  Jewish Family Service will bring Matt Paxton and other experts to the Schultz Campus for Jewish Life at 750 White Pond Drive for a special program.

Hoarding is characterized by excessive acquisition and an inability or unwillingness to discard large quantities of objects. The accumulation can fill living space and impair health and functioning, as well as cause distress. Come and learn from experts including Paxton, who started the business Clutter Cleaner in 2006 and is featured as an expert on A&E’s show “Hoarders.”

The “Morning with Matt” is from 8:15 am–12 pm. The cost is $25 per person and includes continental breakfast. (No CEUs included with this rate.)

The afternoon lecture and panel runs from 1:30–3:30 pm. The all-day rate is $76 and includes CEUs for social workers (nurses), counselors, and MFTs.

Sponsorship offers the chance to network, have a table and engage the attendees.  You can even participate in the “Clutter Free” raffle.
